Through the exhibition “Soul Vision”: “Exploring Awareness and Emotions”, participants not only become aware of their own emotional reactions, but also learn how to manage and regulate their emotions through technology, art and interactive experiences, thereby achieving greater emotional awareness and self-regulation. The entire design focuses on participation, immersion and self-reflection, helping people move from emotional distress to a more rational and healthy emotional life.
Project Brief
Soul Vision is more than just a visual project—it serves as a bridge to deeper understanding, a mirror reflecting the complexity of the human soul, and a powerful tool for healing emotional wounds. By transforming emotional shadows into visible and tangible forms, it gives them a voice and invites individuals to confront and embrace their feelings. Through this journey, it encourages everyone to step into the light of self-awareness and growth.Challenge
According to the data investigated, early intervention is considered to be the key to reducing the severity and persistence of emotional symptoms. Moreover, social support needs are not adequately met, and there are still many people who fail to receive the right kind of psychological assistance and other help. Background Story
In my current stage of life, I've noticed how emotions act as the silent designers of our behavior, influencing our decisions implicitly and even affecting our physical health. It wasn't until I came across a story that exposed me to the concept of somatization - the physical expression of unresolved emotions - that I had an eye-opening experience. From there, I realized that people often struggle with shadows they cannot name, much less face. This led to the title of my project, “Soul Vision”, in which I try to give voice to these shadows. The project uses TouchDesigner to create visual videos that reflect the nature of emotions and their impact on the human mind. Each visual and interaction reflects inner commotion and hope, allowing everyone to see, understand, and navigate their own emotional landscapes. By externalizing the inner, Soul Vision becomes a tool for emotional awareness and healing.Data Research Emotional disorders like bipolar disorder, somatization, anxiety, and PTSD impact millions globally, with rising prevalence due to modern pressures. These conditions evoke complex emotions such as fear, sadness, and anger, often intertwined with physical and behavioral symptoms. This data informs the project's visual exploration of emotions, fostering deeper awareness and empathy.

The aim of this section is to present the fundamentals of stress monitoring by heart rate variability (HRV) analysis, providing a clear and easy-to-understand explanation of its mechanisms and implications. By breaking down complex physiological processes into relevant concepts. This will have relevance to the mood detection bracelet I am preparing for the exhibition

Visual video effect intercepts and symbolic interpretations
Explores the deeply felt connection between the elements of nature and human emotions, showcasing a range of nature-inspired symbols that represent a variety of emotions. Each entry is accompanied by a graphic description designed to bring these abstract emotional connections to lifeMountains and water symbolize calmness because of the continuity and stability of their being. The silence and determination of the mountains symbolize inner peace, while the softness and continuous flow of the water symbolizes a state of carefree existence. Standing between the mountains and the water, this natural balance allows one to let go of impatience and return to peace. It gives one a sense of serenity without being disturbed.
Flowers symbolize satisfaction. They do not need to be pursued on purpose, but are perfect in a natural way. The blooming of a flower is a kind of satisfaction that does not need to be given by the outside world. Different flowers have unique languages, such as the rose for love and the tulip for hope, which once again give the flower a symbol of satisfaction.
Whales are vast sea creatures that symbolize an unobtrusive and deep power. They are one of the most powerful creatures in the ocean, yet they move gracefully through the depths. Expressing an inner strength of calmness and control, they are also telling people that strength is not equal to outer aggression, but inner stability and insistence. Just like the whale's voice, the sound of it is also a metaphor for strength and life, conveying a sense of presence that cannot be ignored.
Stars light up the night sky, symbolizing hope and happiness. Their shimmering light breaks through the darkness and brings light and hope, giving people a feeling of warmth and joy. The stars' presence is like the emotion of happiness. Even in difficult moments, their tiny light can illuminate our hearts and light up our hearts with joy.
Flame represents anger, which is fast burning, difficult to control, destructive, destructive and unstable. The color and heat of the flame also symbolizes the emotional intensity and impulsiveness. Anger, like a flame, is sometimes a legitimate force to help us defend ourselves; but it can also be out of control and destructive if not properly manipulated.
The cave symbolizes fear, darkness and the unknown. Deep caves are like our fear of the unseen, the uncontrollable and the unknown. The hiddenness of the hole is followed by the fear of the unknown, those unknowns that stop one in their tracks or even hold them back. But it can also be an opportunity to explore the shadows within.
The growth of plants symbolizes hope, they have an upward force. To sprout from the soil represents a breakthrough. Stretching towards the sunlight represents the hope of moving towards the light. No matter how difficult the environment, the process of growth reflects a belief in the future, and the power of growth is incredibly strong and resilient. It conveys that hope is the most basic driving force of life.
The waterfall symbolizes crying, releasing great energy, like an emotional explosion and release. The sound and form of the waterfall is like a kind of emotional release, reminding people of the feeling of tears flowing down the face, while at the same time releasing the inner pain and repression, instead of bringing relaxation and new life.
The wind symbolizes anxiety. The unpredictability of the wind and its violent blowing can make people feel uneasy. The force of the wind can upset the calm, like the inner urgency and helplessness of anxiety, and blow away our focus. The wind's howling is also like the sound of anxious emotions that have nowhere to rest but desperately need to be released.
The waves symbolize healing, their beat and never-ending rise and fall have the power to soothe the soul. The sound and sight of waves crashing on the beach is a soothing piece of nature that brings peace. At the same time, through receptivity and adjustment, we can achieve inner healing and peace.
The face symbolizes confusion. People often express their inner confusion and unsureness through their facial expressions. The eyes may be empty and blank, but it is difficult to hide the emotion of confusion, showing a sense of struggle and confusion. When we are confused, our face tells us what is going on inside, and looking at our own expression is the first step in finding the answer.
The starry sky symbolizes freedom. The infinite expanse of the sky reminds us of infinite possibilities, as if there are no boundaries that can hinder the flight of the mind. The starry sky also tells us that inner freedom comes from accepting oneself, the courage to follow one's dreams and spiritual freedom.
The eyeball symbolizes self-confidence. A strong, clear vision reflects inner confidence and strength. Like a window to the soul, a focused look conveys confidence and mastery. A pair of confident eyes can look challenges in the eye. Also when looking at someone, the intensity of the eyes conveys a confidence that does not require words.
